Kathleen Lynch
Kathy is an Attorney and a Life Sciences Executive with over twenty years of experience assisting companies in establishing and growing government and external affairs teams. Kathy is committed to ensuring access to groundbreaking technologies by advancing global public health through innovative policy and reimbursement strategies.
Kathy has spent the past few years at early-stage genomics companies establishing their Corporate Affairs functions and leading their engagement with governments globally. In 2015, Kathy joined Illumina to launch the company’s Global Government Affairs & Public Policy efforts. In this role, she established and led an expansive team of government affairs professionals in managing the company’s interactions and programming with domestic and foreign governments, including the U.S. federal government, U.S. state governments, and in key markets around the world.
Prior to Illumina, Kathy held various Government, External and Corporate-focused leadership roles at Life Technologies and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Before, transitioning to Government and External Affairs, Kathy worked as an attorney in New York City and Boston where she focused on corporate, mergers & acquisitions, securities and healthcare law.
Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of New Hampshire and a Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law. Kathy serves on the Board of the Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine.
