FOUNDATION
King of the Hill Foundation, founded by MLB Pitcher Michael King and his wife Sheila, is dedicated to delaying or preventing the onset of Type 1 Diabetes by supporting access to screening, educational resources, innovative research and groundbreaking therapies.
Type 1 Diabetes, also known as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes, is a chronic condition where the pancreas makes little or no insulin. Insulin is a hormone the body uses to allow sugar (glucose) to enter cells to produce energy.
